Stud Rams

We used two powerful rams to sire the 2011/12 lamb crop.  These are:

We have also recently used:

- Royer Farm 834 & 005                 - Luxford 03-1234                          

- Zeke Ream 7Z47                          - Windfield 3-900A

- Royer Farm 502 (out of Windfield 3-900A)

* The Royer Farm 834 ram sired a super set of lambs for us in 2009/10/11.  We then used his son, Royer Farm 005, on several ewes for the 2010/11 lamb crop.  This ram was sold to Simon Sarginson with some breeding rights retained.

Brood Ewe Genetics

We keep a flock of 20 to 30 brood ewes.  Each year, we sort through the ewes and lambs.  We sell some of the best and retain a select few for replacements.  Last summer we added 3 select K. Capron ewes from the Burke dispersal sale. We always want to assure our flock standards will be improved  with any ewe retained or added as a brood ewe.  We strongly believe every ewe should be able to lamb without problems and raise a set of twins or triplets through to weaning.  Most of our ewes are RR, with a few QR.
